Prices

As every photo and restoration is unique I will need to assess your photo in order to determine the cost involved to restore or/and colour it. The price is largely based on the amount of time it will take me to complete and complexity of the project, including the extent of damage, the size and the quality of the original photo. Price examples are shown below for both restorations and colouring.

I require no up-front² payments as I want you to be confident about ordering with me and only pay once you are satisfied with the result. I will send a proof image after completion so you can assess the results of the restoration work. If you are not happy with it and I can't meet your satisfaction then you won’t be charged³ for the work.

Photo Restoration

At least some photo restortion is normally required before colouring a photo. If the work required is minor I will reflect a discount of this in the total price of the colouring.

  • Hair line cracks and folds.
  • Minor discolouration and fading.

Intermediate

  • Vital area corrections.
  • Minor scratch marks, folds or tears.
  • Small areas missing.

Severe

From £55*

  • Larger areas missing or damaged.
  • Heavy folds or tears.
  • Heavy fading and discolouration.

Photo Colouring

Photo colouring is an additonal service that is often performed after the restoration.

  • Little background detail.
  • No complex patterns.

Medium

From £40*

  • Multiple subjects 2 or 3.
  • More complicated details.
  • Change to a simple background.

Complex

From £60*

  • Larger groups or scenic photos.
  • Intricate details.
  • Many objects in the background.

* As every photo is different the final cost will vary and solely depend on the complexity of the photo. The above photos and prices are guide only.
The final price will be discussed and agreed prior to any work being carried out.

² No up-front payment is required unless the quote for the work exceeds £100 in which case a 25% depoist is required.

³ You won't be charged for any work carried out on your photo but will be required to cover any costs, such as postage, that may occur to return your original photos.
